Miley Cyrus started to cry during Saturday Night Live performance

This weekend, during a performance on Saturday Night Live, Miley Cyrus broke down in tears.

This famous pop star performed Twinkle Song, as an ode to some of her late animals. She performed the song at the piano as she gazed at heart-shaped pictures of a cat, of her dead dog Floyd and her pet fish Pablow.

She started to cry when she reached the end of the song. When her pet husky was killed by a coyote in April, 2014, Miley was devastated. I know I don’t mean it but I wish he would’ve taken me with him this is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him? tweeted Miley.

Except this situation, Miley’s appearance on the SNL season premiere was all laughs. Cyrus was trying not to cry, but the finished the song by slamming on her keyboard and walking off to the side of the stage, where she received a hug. Miley played the song to help promote her new Happy Hippie Foundation which aims “to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations.”

“Why does everything that I love have to die?” she sang sadly on stage in a video she shared on Facebook. “If I could do it again, I’d release you to sea because I can’t bear to see someone so wild just die in a tank.” Pablow’s death was a hard moment for this pop star.
